It’s no secret I am in love with Polka Dots. If you read my blog regularly, Â you might have noticed it’s a recurring pattern in my wardrobe. See here and here. Â I’m just drawn to the dashing little dot. Maybe it’s my love for Lucille Ball that lends to the love I have for polka dots. Not only did she make me laugh out loud, (Lucille Balls deserves it written out, no abbreviations) Â but she did it in a great polka dot dress. These pants make me feel a little closer to Lucy.
The Los Angeles Times remarked, “You can sign your fashion life away on the polka-dotted line, and you’ll never regret it this season.”  I concur, and have obviously signed away.  This season of polka dots is especially  popular when it comes to pants!  This happy motif is fun, feminine and whimsical, and showing up on everything from palazzo pants, to capris.  If you are looking for an alternative to your regular black trouser, try one with a polka dot print. You are sure to be “spotted” in these pants. (Sorry…I couldn’t help it.)
Tip: Remember if you are going to do a funky spotted pant on bottom, you want to keep everything else you are wearing as simple as possible. A slinky solid bow tie blouse is a great option. Â It’s a great staple to have in any modern woman’s wardrobe. Don’t be afraid to add a pop of color either.
So tell your teeny weeny yellow polka dot bikini to move on over, your new polka-dot pants, need some room!
